Dr. Laura VanDyk

Dr. Laura VanDyk is a Sumner native, originally raised on Lake Tapps. Dr. VanDyk received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2004. She then attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2008. Dr. VanDyk began her dental career in Sumner as an associate to Dr. Rolf Edlund and is proud to carry on in his footsteps.

Dr. VanDyk and her husband, Corty, also a Sumner High School graduate, feel blessed to be able to call Sumner their home again. The VanDyk family has expanded over the past years with the addition of two wonderful children, Corty Isaac and Reace Angle, as well as Lucy and Roxy, their Yellow Labs. The family enjoys many activities including snow skiing, camping, boating, hiking and golfing.

Dr. VanDyk places a high value on providing excellent, quality dentistry to all of her patients. She is constantly expanding her dental knowledge and skills through dental continuing education opportunities. Dr. VanDyk is excited about her career in the dental profession and the opportunity to live and work in the Sumner and Lake Tapps area.

Marj Kilcup

Hygienist

Marj loves to help people. She studied to become a dental hygienist, graduating from Pierce College in 1999. She has been working in our office since 2001. Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Marj has been residing in the Sumner area since 1995. Although she is a transplant to Sumner, Marj has enjoyed getting to know about Washington state (and the rest of the country) vicariously through her patients. She enjoys working in a friendly, patient-centered office.

Stacy Williams

Hygienist

Stacy started as a dental assistant ten years ago. After finding her strong passion for dental, she went back to school to become a dental hygienist. Stacy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and seeking adventures. She looks forward to meeting you. åz

Lindsay Hanni

Hygienist

Lindsay graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2007 with her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Both her and her husband are Sumner natives and are now raising their two children in the community they love.

Kate Moran

Hygienist

Kate graduated as a hygienist from the Shoreline Dental Hygiene Program in 1999. She has been working with the practice since 2005. She enjoys working with Dr. VanDyk, striving to provide kind, caring dental treatment to all her patients. She likes meeting new people and having the opportunity to help them achieve a healthy smile. Kate grew up in the Seattle area and now lives in Sumner. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three boys.

Amy Fountain

I began working in the dental field in 2001 after graduating from Bates Technical College. I then returned to school in 2010 at South Sound Community College for a license as a Restorative Assistant. I grew up in Fircrest, a small town outside of Tacoma. Now in another small town I live with my husband in Eatonville. Together we enjoy all the PNW has to offer. A growing garden, hiking and lots of disc golf!

Baylee Wayman

CDA

Baylee is a Tacoma native who has found the Bonney Lake area as her permanent home. Baylee has been in dentistry for 11 years and loves most the great interactions that she gets to have with the patients. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile are a staple at VanDyk Dental.

Karra Ney

Assistant

Karra has been a dental assistant since 2009 and joined the VanDyk dental team in 2013. In the time Karra has been with our office, she has enjoyed working with the fun, energetic, caring group of people that strive to give the best quality of dental care to every patient. Karra, a native to the area, continues to enjoy living in Sumner, and looks forward to raising her two daughters here as well. Karra, an energetic mom, loves spending time with her beautiful, two young daughters.

Tammie Ihrig

Office Manager

Tammie has worked in the dental field since 1994, where she started as a chair side assistant. She joined the VanDyk Dental Team in the fall of 2014. In the time she has been here, she has enjoyed working with Dr. VanDyk’s incredible staff and getting to know the exceptional patients. Tammie will be happy to help out with all and any dental appointments, financial arrangements, account receivables and any other questions you may have outside of the office. Tammie has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and they have one daughter together, who attends Boise State. Tammie’s hobbies include travel, camping, yoga, running and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie Dann

Front office

Stephanie is no stranger to the dental profession. She has assisted with many dental procedures as well as working on communication with patient care in the front office. She is happy to help you with any dental needs or questions and is looking forward to saying hello.
